Medieval Tapestry – Falcon Hunt
The Falcon Hunt Medieval tapestry wall hanging is woven to replicate a very famous work-of-art from the book of hours illustrated, by the brothers Limbourg, Les Tres Riches Heures du Duc de Berry, (1413 – 1416). This book captures the Gothic style in illustrations with attention to detail in the strictest sense. It is considered a masterpiece and a wonderful display for each month of the year, as contained within each illustrated page in the book. The Duc de Berry is known to be the great patron of the arts during these troublesome times in France, when he and commissioned this fine book. This Medieval Tapestry, Falcon Hunt is educational and fun as it does a good job in depicting the romantic tales of castles and kings, and knights on horseback protecting the kingdom and fair ladies. It is woven in Belgium with 100% cotton, a lined sleeve for the tapestry rod and is offered in three sizes: 35″w x 25″ h, 57″w x 38″h or 64″w x 45″h. It’s a nice addition to the family room wall decor or den and makes great fun for the family’s education and story telling.
The Medieval Tapestries are classic wall decor that is made of the stories of might and magic and Camelot and King Arthur. It is the days of chivalry and romance. It is the times of good and evil. It was the best of times and maybe the worst. Surely a novel way to show off the wall decor in the kids rooms with excitement and style.
