Choosing Decorative Post Caps
I’m lucky to have a friend of mine who is an interior designer with a husband who builds decks and fences. I’m one of those people who know nothing about design and can’t build a stack of cards. In other words; I need help with this stuff. So I hired the contractor who did a wonderful job installing a beautiful cedar fence and thought the job was done until my friend brought over selection of decorative post caps for me to choose from to finish off the fence. Since I had never heard of post cap before I wasn’t sure I really needed them but soon changed my mind.
Post caps actually protect the posts from weather and insect damage giving the fence a much better chance of a long life. So I did decide to buy them and was so pleased once they were installed as they added so much to the look and feel of my property. I choose copper post caps and have been rewarded ever since. So having friends who know about things you don’t not only helps you make good decisions but they enjoy the process right along with you.
