Garden Pergolas Are The Perfect Addition To Your Upgraded Back Yard

September 29th, 2011

Garden pergolas are often times the perfect finishing touch to a back yard that has been overhauled. Maybe your back yard used to resemble a junkyard, but now it is the place to be when it comes time for fall parties. The final touch in this upgrade bonanza should be adding a beautiful pergola for your garden. After all, gardens do not have to be just a small patch that has a few tomatoes or some flowers. Gardens can be a place to enjoy the outside in a serene environment.

Pergolas have long been associated with peace and serenity. People have often used them as a gathering place for their friends and family during social gatherings. In many cases, pergolas have a built in bench, and are placed near beautiful gardens. One great trick for enjoying a pergola during the hot summer is to grow vines over top of the structure. Once they get thick enough, they will shade you from the hot summer sun.

These garden structures really do not have to placed outside of a garden. You can actually make it your garden’s centerpiece. This is especially great if you have a large garden that has lots of walkways in it. Pergolas have gotten so popular, in fact, that weddings are often conducted within a garden that has a pergola. Sufficed to say, the garden pergola is a must have for the gardening enthusiast.

There are multiple materials that are used to build a pergola. Some people are likely to prefer the regal look of wood. Others may prefer the long lasting sturdiness of a plastic/vinyl one. Perhaps, instead, you may prefer a metal pergola. Just remember, you are not going to make a mistake. Pick out what you like the best, and go with it. Then, prepare to spend a lot of time enjoying these garden structures in your back yard.

Internet Service Providers in My Area May Provide Additional Info on Web Security

September 28th, 2011

According to an article this week on Top Tech Reviews, Microsoft has collected location information from millions of laptop computers, cellular phones and WiFi devices from around the world. The report states that this information is available on the world-wide-web with no privacy options.  According to the report any person can access the database via Live.com.  The site provides precise locations that can be pinpointed geographically right down to the street addresses of Android smart phones, Apple devices, and other WiFi enabled instruments.  To access this information, you may need to verify you have a good broadband connection. This is easily checked out when you do an online search typing in the keywords: Internet service providers in my area.

According to the report, Microsoft does not have measures in place to secure access to the database. Google has already implemented certain options in an effort to prevent illegal access to their geographic location database.  Skyhook, too, has employed a limited form of geo-location to protect the privacy of its users. Experts are recommending that Microsoft install ways of controlling access to their database like their rivals have done. The company did not comment. To determine if your local service providers can offer any additional information, it is possible to search for ISP providers by zip code. This will provide you with all the suppliers servicing your community.
